The new Plan focuses on economic structural adjustments and transformation to drive sustainable long term growth.New Era for Quality Growth and Economic Sustainability is the key concept for China in 2011 and these will be the theme of this year's Forum.

11:10-12:30 Roundtable Discussion A: Trends in the Second Half of 2011
After more than 30 years of double digit growth rates, China today is focused less on speed and more on the quality and sustainability of growth. We are fast approaching the second half of the take off year of the 12th Five Year Plan. As we examine China's development environment and its plans, these are some of the critical questions that deserve our attention:
•What are the keys to the transformation of China's growth model? How can China balance its competing needs for reform, development, and stability? What will the reform hot points be in the second half of this year?
•As the first half of the year comes to a close, what can kind of monetary policy can we expect to see – continued tightening or more flexibility?
•Will economic recovery in the West exceed expectations? What impact would this have on China?
•Japan's economy has been hit hard by the earthquake and tsunami. The Bank of Japan is injecting massive doses of capital to save the market. What economic impact will events in Japan have on China and the rest of the world?

13:30-14:30 Roundtable Discussion B: New Engine of Blue Economy Strategy
During the 12th Five Year Plan, Blue will be the major color of Qingdao’s Economy. Cultivate and develop the Blue Economy dominated by ocean resource’s utilization, it’s an important opportunity for Finance. Depend on the development of Blue Economy, Blue Finance will achieve a considerable growth. This Roundtable seeks to address several questions:
•How can local enterprises in Shandong benefit most in their re-positioning in the world value chain via"go global"?
•How could Finance be a driving force of Blue Economy?
•How can modern service industry support the blue Strategy?
14:30-15:30 Roundtable Discussion C: RMB Internationalization: Choosing a Path
As the role of the RMB in the international monetary system continues to evolve, China must find the right path to further internationalization. This Roundtable seeks to address several questions:
•What steps are needed to achieve “regionalization” of the RMB in Asia?
•Liberalization of the interest rate market and RMB internationalization are inseparable.What must be done to further develop market based pricing for interest rates?
•There has been rapid growth of RMB savings in HongKong.How can HongKong's RMB be used to break into offshore markets?

Each round of economic restructuring in China has created tremendous investment opportunities. Changes called for in 12th Five Year Plan beginning this year give investors a new playing field. In this discussion investors from China and abroad will explore, interpret and exchange ideas about emerging investment hot spots created by the “12th Five”.
•Does the “12th Five” create investment opportunities in different industries than those favored by the “11th Five”?
•What are the potential investment opportunities offered by economic restructuring and the process of upgrading industries?
•Considering the whole spectrum from health care to clean energy, which sectors give investors the most cause for optimism?
